And I think to myself in a voice that only I can hear
And I hear myself talk to myself no vibrations in my ears and I
You know I find it weird
To know that entirely without sound, creation surrounds, confounds and inspires
From the grassroots to the spires
Whether you're changing tyres or a Lord Esquire
You can fan your own flame, become your own favourite rhymer, ignite your own fire because it's all inside you
Yes it's all inside you

Because inside you
I see epics of balladry and epics of humanity
Epics like you and me, they are epic just like the air we breathe
Epic like the holy trees and holy harmonies
I hold your creativity and your light there close to me

Because it's the energy of this artistry
It sweeps me along on a nightly breeze
through failing light and warming tea
it shocks, enlightens and obsesses me
And you see it, when you feel it
And you feel it when you hear it
See I believe in these poetic descriptions
They might liberate us from our private prisons of perception
because we can go on and on, in to the daily struggles song
and on and on marked by time's constant gongs
but in the telling of the stories we are forced to be humble

Hopefully you understand that's why I write, to feel the universal rumble
